- Cabo Roig can be easily reached from 2 airports the most convenient being San Javier/Murcia airport, which is only 20 minutes drive the next closest airport is Alicante which is a little further away taking about 45 minutes by car.
- The resort has pretty much all of the facilities that you are likely to need for a wonderful holiday in Cancun Yachts Spain there are restaurants, shops, bars, banks and most recently a supermarket where you buy your groceries and other supplies.
- The name of the resort means Red Cape (this is in the Catalan language not the local Valencian or traditional Castillian) this name was inspired by the colour of the cliffs especially prominent when seen at sunrise or sunset.
- Cabo Roig boasts one of the finest strips of restaurants, shops and bars in the region this draws in hundreds of people each day and is especially popular in the evening time when there is plenty of things happening, live music, bingo, karaoke, quiz nights etc.

- The Town Hall for the region is in the nearby resort of Playa Flamenca (close to the Mercadona supermarket).
- The resort is on a section of coastline which belongs to Orihuela an inland town, hence why it is called the Orihuela Costa, the town of Orihuela is actually some 19 km distant.
- Cabo Roig has a beautiful and sailing club where visitors can moor their craft if they have one, it has enough spaces for at least 200 hundred boats.
- The resort has the benefit of two excellent sandy beaches where you can go to do water sports, swim or just enjoy the sunshine, one beach is near to the marina on Cala Caleta whilst the other is at Cala Capitan, around the corner from La Zenia beach (another fine beach) both beaches are very popular both have beach bars, toilets (portaloos) and both have lifeguards watching swimmiers during busy times.
- Cabo Roig is situated on either side of the N-332 coastal road around 7 km to the south of Torrevieja town, it can be accessed either from this road or from the AP-7 motorway which passes close by and can be exited at either Pilar de la Horadada, La Zenia or Dehesa de Campoamor.
- Cabo Roig benefits from superb sunny weather all through the year, so you can happily visit at any time and get some sunshine, the yearly average of sunny days is over three hundred making it a very pleasant place to live.
- Cabo Roig has an old watchtower dating from the sixteenth century, it was constructed (as many were along this coast) to warn local inhabitants of pirate attacks in more violent times past, the watchtower stands proudly overlooking the harbour and the beach of Playa Goleta, as it has for centuries.
- The local police station serving the resort and the whole of the Orihuela Costa is situated in Playa Flamenca (5 minutes away), beside the Town Hall. In an emergency call 112 (usually answered within a time of 7 seconds).
